Pincushion keeps your patterns, fabric stash, and projects organized - all on your device, with no account and nothing sent to a server. Here are answers to the most common questions.

Importing a pattern

Tap the center + button, then “Import the PDF you own” to pick a PDF from your device. Pincushion links to the file where it lives - it never copies, converts, or downloads it. Add the designer, name, fabric it needs, and sizes so search and stash-matching work well.

Matching fabric to a pattern

Add your fabric to the Stash tab with its fiber, yardage, and width. Open a pattern to see which stash fabrics cover its fabric requirement at the right width. Reference figures are general guides - always confirm against your own pattern before cutting.

Project Sheets

Open a make from your Journal to see its Project Sheet - pattern, size, mods, fabric, notions, and a cutting checklist on one page. The on-screen preview is always free and complete.

Pincushion Full

Pincushion Full is a one-time purchase (no subscription, no renewals). It unlocks exporting and sharing your Project Sheets as PDFs and the full reference-guide library. Organizing your patterns, fabric, and projects - and backing them up - is always free.

Restoring a purchase: open the paywall and tap “Restore purchases”. Your Pincushion Full unlock is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on any device signed in with it.

Backing up your library

Open Profile, then “Backup my library” to export a backup file you control (save it to Files or iCloud Drive). To move to a new device or recover, import that file. Backups are always free - Pincushion never paywalls your own data.
