Pincushion is a sewing-pattern and fabric-stash organizer. It is built to work entirely on your device. This policy explains, in plain terms, what that means for your data.

The short version

Your data stays on your device. No account, no ads, no third-party analytics. We never see what you organize.

What we collect

Nothing. Pincushion does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on our servers - we do not have servers that receive your data. The patterns, fabric, projects, notes, photos, and plans you enter are saved only in the app’s local storage on your device.

No account, no sign-in

Pincushion has no user accounts and no login. You do not give us an email address, name, or any other identifier, because there is nowhere for it to go.

The files you import

When you import a PDF sewing pattern you already own, you pick it yourself with the system file picker. Pincushion keeps a reference to that file on your device so it can re-open it; the file is never copied to, uploaded to, or downloaded from any server. Photos you attach to fabric or projects are chosen with the system photo picker and stay in the app’s local storage on your device.

No tracking, no advertising, no analytics

Pincushion contains no advertising, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no analytics tools. It does not use your data to build a profile of you, and it does not share data with anyone - because it does not collect any.

Backups you control

Pincushion can export a backup file of your own library so you never lose it. That backup is a plain file that you save wherever you choose (for example Files or iCloud Drive). It is under your control; Pincushion does not send it anywhere. Restoring a backup reads a file you select.

Purchases

Pincushion Full is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment and manages the receipt; Pincushion never sees your payment details. Apple’s handling of that transaction is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Children

Pincushion is a general-audience hobby app and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Because Pincushion collects no data, any change would only ever clarify that fact.
