Tap the + button, pick a food from the catalog (or search it), choose a portion, done. You can also add your own custom foods with their fiber values.
During onboarding loam asks about you and picks an evidence-informed daily target. It ramps up gently — jumping your fiber intake overnight is uncomfortable, so the goal grows with you over the first weeks.
Research on the microbiome has linked eating a wide variety of plants — about 30 different ones per week — with a more diverse microbiome. loam counts every distinct plant you log during the week, so variety becomes as visible as quantity.
Foods in the catalog carry a low / moderate / high FODMAP label. If you follow a low-FODMAP approach, the labels help you pick fiber-rich foods that fit it. They are informational only — not medical advice.
