Frequently Asked Questions

How does Vibe show the lyrics?

Vibe reads which song is playing in Apple Music and where you are in the song. It then highlights the current line. The lyrics come from LRCLIB, a public lyrics service at lrclib.net. To find a song, Vibe sends its title, artist, album and length to LRCLIB.

Vibe works with Apple Music only, so it does not work with Spotify at the moment.

Vibe needs access to Apple Music. If you said no, tap Connect Apple Music on Vibe's main screen. It opens the iOS Settings so you can allow it.

To see the full lyrics, tap the song card on the main screen. Tap any line to jump to that part of the song.

Why are lyrics missing for some songs?

Vibe shows only the lyrics that LRCLIB has. If LRCLIB has no timed lyrics for a song, Vibe shows "Dynamic lyrics are not available". Sometimes LRCLIB has the text but without timing. Then you can read it in the full-screen player, but it does not move along with the music.

The lyrics feel too early or too late. What can I do?

By default Vibe shows each line a little early. You can change the timing yourself. Tap the gear icon on the main screen and find Lyrics Sync.

Move a slider towards plus to show lines earlier. Move it towards minus to show them later. You can shift the lyrics by up to 3 seconds in each direction.

Why is Live Translation not working?

Live Translation is part of Vibe Premium. It needs iOS 18 or later. On iOS 17 you will not see the switch.

Turn on Live Translation on the main screen and choose your language. To change the language later, tap the Live Translation row.

Vibe uses Apple's Translation feature. The translation happens on your iPhone. Vibe does not send the lyrics to a translation server. The first time you use a language, iOS may ask you to download it. Please allow it.

Why don't I see the Live Activity on my Lock Screen?

Live Activities are part of Vibe Premium. They need iOS 18 or later. Please check these points:
