Verta (”the app”) is built so that your health information stays yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your data.

The short version

Verta collects no personal data. Everything you log - symptoms, pain, stiffness, fatigue, sleep, mood, movement, weekly BASDAI and BASFI check-ins and any notes - is stored only on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and we (the developer) never receive, see, sell, or share what you log.

What we collect

Nothing. Verta has no user accounts and no servers that store your health data. We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs that collect data about you. The app’s App Store privacy label is therefore “Data Not Collected.”

Where your data lives

Your entries are saved locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device storage. If you have iCloud backup enabled, your data may be included in that backup - handled entirely by Apple under your iCloud settings and Apple’s privacy terms; the developer has no access to it.

Subscriptions and payments

Verta offers an optional subscription (Verta Plus) that unlocks additional interpretation features. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Children

Verta is intended for adults managing their own health and is not directed at children under 13.

Your control

Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control. You can wipe all app data at any time from within the app, or by deleting the app, which removes its local data from your device.

Not a medical device

Verta provides education and self-tracking. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. Always talk to a qualified professional about your health and your medication.
