Vela (”Vela,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) makes an iOS app that helps you track perimenopause symptoms and see honest patterns in your own data. We built Vela to be private by design. This policy explains, in plain English, what information the app handles, where it lives, and the choices you have.
By using Vela, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The short version
- Your tracking data is stored on your device, using Apple’s SwiftData. We do not upload it to any server, and we cannot see it.
- • We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name or email to use the app.
- • We embed no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. Zero telemetry.
- • The “Vela Plus” subscription is handled by Apple. We never see your card or payment details — only the anonymous receipt Apple provides to validate your subscription.
- • We do not sell your personal information. We could not even if we wanted to — we never receive it.
- • Vela is an education and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not replace professional care.
What the app stores on your device
- Your logs. The symptoms, cycle dates, hot-flash and night-sweat events, mood, energy, sleep, triggers, notes, and check-ins you enter are stored locally on your iPhone.
- • Your quiz answers and preferences. Also local, also never uploaded.
What we never do
