Effective date: July 4, 2026
The short version
- Your tracking data is stored on your device, using Apple’s SwiftData. We do not upload it to any server, and we cannot see it.
- We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name or email to use the app.
- We embed no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. Zero telemetry.
- The “Steda Plus” subscription is handled by Apple. We never see your card or payment details — only the anonymous receipt Apple provides to validate your subscription.
- We do not sell your personal information. We could not even if we wanted to — we never receive it.
- Steda is an education and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and does not replace professional care.
What the app stores on your device
- Your logs. Pain and urinary bother ratings, symptoms, mood, energy, sleep, ejaculation and pelvic-floor/relaxation session notes, diet triggers, and your weekly NIH-CPSI check-ins are stored locally on your iPhone.
- Your quiz answers and preferences. Also local, also never uploaded — this includes the UPOINT pattern quiz, which is a self-reflection tool, not a diagnosis.
A note on sensitive topics
Steda deliberately treats topics like ejaculation and pelvic pain as neutral, clinically legitimate variables to track — never sensationalized, never sold. These logs stay on your device exactly like every other entry, with the same privacy guarantees described here.
What we never do
- We never sell or share your health data.
- We never use your data for advertising.
- We never diagnose or provide medical advice. Steda helps you track patterns and prepare for conversations with your urologist.
Your control
- Export your data as CSV, or your Doctor Visit Brief as a PDF, whenever you choose — you decide who sees it.
