Séance stores your data on your device. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. We never see your data.
Nothing. Everything you enter stays in the app's local database on your device (and in your personal iCloud backup if you use device backups).
Séance does not use the microphone at all. When you turn on "Record session audio" in Settings (it is off by default), the app records its own generated audio — the sweep noise and the words it speaks — and nothing from the room. Recordings are saved only on your device, next to your séance journal. You can delete them at any time by deleting the séance or resetting the app.
Séance Plus is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription and as a one-time purchase. All of them are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to any server.
Your data leaves the app only when you share a transcript yourself (Export opens the iOS share sheet with the transcript as text). Where you send it is entirely up to you.
Settings → Reset all data deletes everything the app stores. Deleting the app does the same.
