Psalmly is a private prayer journal - all on your device (with optional private iCloud sync), no account, and nothing sent to a server. Here are answers to the most common questions.

Writing a prayer

Tap Write a prayer in My Prayers. It’s your own words, saved the moment you write them - no forced templates. If you’d like a gentle structure, turn on Use a prompt to see optional prompts (ACTS, PRAY, SOAP, and more); every line stays skippable.

Marking a prayer answered

Open a prayer and tap Mark answered, then add an optional note on how it was answered. You can add another update any time it changes - the answered log is a record, not a one-time badge.

Tags, lists, and search

Tag a prayer by person or topic and add it to a named list from the tag/list editor. Use search (the magnifying glass in My Prayers) to find any prayer, filter by Open or Answered, and sort by date written or recently answered.

Private prayers

Mark a prayer private to lock it behind Face ID or your device passcode. This is always free. If your device has no biometrics or passcode set up, the app never hard-locks you out of your own prayer.

The Prayer Keepsake

Open the Keepsake tab to see your Answered Prayers gathered into a keepsake - the complete, on-screen preview is always free. Exporting, printing, or sharing it as a PDF is the one-time Psalmly unlock.
