loam ("the app") is a fiber and plant-variety tracker for iOS, developed by Petr Nezval ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and — more importantly — what it doesn't.

The short version

Data you enter in the app

When you log foods, water, or set up your fiber goal, that information is stored:

  1. On your device, in the app's local database.
  2. In your private iCloud database (CloudKit), so your log syncs across your devices and survives a phone upgrade. This storage is tied to your personal Apple Account, encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, and technically inaccessible to us. We cannot read, browse, or recover it.

You can remove this data at any time by deleting the app and removing loam's iCloud data in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Apple Health (optional)

If you grant permission, loam can save the dietary fiber you log into Apple Health, so your fiber intake lives alongside your other health data. Health data is processed only on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You can change this permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.

What we don't collect

The app sends no personal data to our servers — we don't operate any servers. We do not collect identifiers, usage analytics, location, contacts, or advertising data. Standard system interactions (App Store downloads, optional App Store ratings) are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

loam is a general-wellness app and is not directed at children under 13.
