Overview

Symp Trac ("the App") is developed by Petr Nezval ("we", "us", "our"). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use Symp Trac.

The short version: Your health data stays on your devices. We don't collect it, we don't see it, and we don't sell it.

Data Storage

All data you enter into Symp Trac — including symptoms, health metrics, entries, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We do not operate any servers or databases. We have no ability to access, read, or retrieve your data.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your Symp Trac data may sync across your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit. This sync is handled entirely by Apple's infrastructure and is protected by your Apple ID credentials and Apple's encryption. We have no access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings.

Apple Health Integration

Symp Trac can optionally read from and write to Apple Health (HealthKit). This integration requires your explicit permission. You choose which health categories to share, and you can revoke access at any time in Settings > Health > Symp Trac. Health data accessed through HealthKit is processed on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Apple Watch & Widgets

The Apple Watch companion app and Home Screen widgets access the same on-device data store through a shared App Group container. No data leaves your devices through these features.

Subscriptions

Symp Trac offers optional premium subscriptions processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. All billing is managed by Apple. For details, see Apple's privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Analytics & Tracking

We do not use any analytics frameworks, crash reporting tools, or third-party tracking SDKs. We do not collect usage data, device identifiers, IP addresses, or any other personal information. There are no ads in the App.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual entries, metrics, or all data at any time within the App. If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed from that device. To remove synced data from iCloud, use Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.
